Responsibilities

A Day in the Life of a Construction Coordinator:

 

As the Liberty Military Housing Construction Coordinator, you will support the planning, execution, and completion of military housing construction projects. You will assist with construction contracts, invoicing, notices to proceed and closeout documents, project tracking, and cross-department communication exterior to the Construction and Environmental Services department.

Your Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Project Coordination & Administration:

  • Assist in planning and coordinating construction activities for military housing projects.
  • Support Construction Managers (CMs) in tracking progress, compliance with construction processes, and ensuring milestones are met.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including contracts, lien releases, prevailing wage payroll logs, RFis, change orders, and compliance reports.
  • Process and file construction contracts, notices to proceed, substantial/final completions, budget reallocations, and closeout packages.
  • Process routine and monthly construction draws, O&M invoices, and one-off project billings.
  • Assist in annual budget preparation and consolidation of project scope packages.
  • Ongoing maintenance and management of electronic files.
  • Support CMs and Senior CMs in administrative and clerical requirements.

Communication & Coordination:

  • Serve as liaison between internal portfolio site teams, construction partner, contractor accounts payable, and senior leadership.
  • Facilitate meetings, prepare reports, and update stakeholders on project statuses.
  • Support Construction Managers and Environmental Compliance Managers in coordination and execution of project scopes that include NA VF AC review and/ or approval.
  • Possess the ability to manage multiple projects at once, under deadlines and time sensitive requirements.

 

Qualifications

What You Need for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Three or more years of experience in construction project coordination. 
  • Knowledge of military, federal, or government construction processes preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, Planner, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive).
  • Experience with Yardi, a plus.
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Familiarity with construction budgeting and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with contractors, construction partners, regional and site teams, as well as the ability to independently and under time constraints.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and maintain a schedule, while keeping a positive attitude.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Pay Range: $68,640.00 - $74,000.00 Annually plus bonus
