Responsibilities

A Day in the Life of a Regional Benefits Manager:

 

As a Liberty Military Housing Benefits Manager, you will oversee benefit-related processes for the region, including benefits administration, leave of absence administration, onboarding, payroll coordination, workers’ compensation management, and compliance tracking. This role serves as a resource for team members and managers, ensuring accurate benefit enrollment and adherence to company policies. This role also includes supervisory responsibilities for one team member.

 

Your Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

 

  • Serve as regional point of contact for benefit inquiries, escalate concerns to the benefits team and support monthly meetings and annual open enrollment activities.
  • Monitor new hire enrollment and dependent eligibility reports.
  • Process LOA requests, including correspondence, HRIS updates, IT tickets, and calendar tracking.
  • Monitor employee leaves absence and provide timely status updates to managers.
  • Review and track all accommodation requests and partner with HR for guidance and necessary approvals.
  • Manage worker’s compensation claims, monitor status reports and respond to insurance requests.
  • Participate in quarterly case reviews and maintain OSHA logs.
  • Maintain personnel, LOA and worker’s compensation records
  • Update internal trackers and archive records with third-party vendor.
  • Oversee the applicant tracking system to review incoming applications and identify qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, including initiating new hire tasks, issuing welcome communications, and completing required employment document.
  • Review weekly new hire and staff changes report; update internal trackers for promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Assist payroll with timesheet completion and provide instructions for special events or office closures.
  • Operate a company or personal vehicle to travel to various locations for work purposes.
  • Manage and provide oversight for Regional Benefits Coordinator.

Qualifications

What You Need for Success:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in benefits administration, HR or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Proven success demonstrating leadership, customer service, problem-solving, decision-making, multi-tasking, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to encourage a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise good judgment, and maintain confidentiality
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to travel to other regional locations for work, training, and meetings.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including occasional overtime as needed.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Pay Range: $85,000 - $90,550 (annual)

 

* Medical/Dental/Vision insurance eligible after 30 days of full-time employment.

**Vacation and sick time are based on the employee's hire date.
